My little girl, beautiful, beautiful brown eyes!

My children are my most favorite subjects to shoot, and them driving force behind me making the decision to transition from being my kids personal papparazzi (or mammarazzi as we say around here), to a family photographer, capturing moments for other families. Childhood is priceless, and sadly, its fleeting, they grow so fast. I love how a photograph can stop time, and forever hold a memory. A good photograph is like a time machine, capturing the essence of the moment and the child's true personality, allowing us to revisit that day, or that age, as time goes on. When my children are all grown up, they'll have well documented lives for sure, there will be hundreds of albums by the time I'm finished, capturing their youth, their beauty, their spirits forever! And trust me, I know I'll be pouring over those pictures thousands of times, smiling and crying and remembering my amazing children and their amazing childhoods! Anyway, I'm getting all sentimental now, I just can't get over how much a good photograph can freeze time and make me smile!

This is a classic face for my daughter, joy filled, radiant, just a happy, spirited little girl

She's also got an introspective side, thoughtful and deep

Here we see her sassy side, fun, her own person at only three years old!

Thanks for letting me share this with you all, I hope in the near future, I'll be helping some of you capture moments like these so they can cherished and revisited forever!

Playing around with "Old Blue Eyes"

I know I've posted these pictures before, but I just got some new software and I'm learning a bit more about editing and all the endless possibilities for enhancing portraits and I had to play around with these and see what I could do! This baby has phenomenal eyes and I just wanted to play them up a bit and make them pop a little bit more, I think these effects did that wonderfully!

The "D" Family!

I had the opportunity to take these pictures for a really great family the other day, it was a great experience and I got some really neat shots. Of course, trying to orchestrate three kids and a baby in a group shot needs some finesse, but I think we did alright ;)

All the kids

The whole "D" family

Lets get started!

Welcome to Katie Peca Photography! I am excited to get started sharing my work with you all. I'm new to Blogging, so bear with me as I fumble my way through! I think I'll kick things off by sharing some of my favorite pictures I've taken recently and then I'll just share as I go.

This baby is breathtaking, I just love how this shot turned out (despite how annoyed I am that my border isn't cooperating).

Here she is again, those gorgeous blue eyes are a photographers dream come true! It was shot after shot of this!

This is one of my favorite models, my one year old son Landon, you'll be seeing a lot of him!

More beautiful blue eyes, I just keep finding more pretty pictures of her that are too cute not to share!

This baby was darling! His parents were so creative in finding cute ways to shoot him that captured what was important to them as a family...... pictures in his Dad's fireman's helmet!

My other favorite model, my three year old daughter Avery! If she cooperates, you'll see a lot of her too ;)

More Avery

One of my most favorite newborns, such a sweetie, and very cooperative for his age, a future model maybe?
Thank you all for looking, more to come in the future, so please stay tuned!
