A Little Background Information...

Don't worry, I'm not going to bore you my rambling on and on about MY background, or any facts for that matter, BUT, I must tell you, I got a new background stand for my seamless paper backgrounds, I am in LOVE! Its amazing how much a nice, smooth, uniform background can enhance a photo and really make the subject pop. I got he urge today to set it up and test it out, so I grabbed the two models nearest to me, my kids, and made them endure yet another photo shoot, and I am really liking the photo's that we got! In fact, I printed them up for my mother, my mother in law, my gramma's, my sisters, and last but not least, my living room wall!

Swing into Spring!

These photos were taken on two different days, they're of my daughter enjoying some of our recent spring time weather (and its about time). I'm amazed at the pure joy you can see on her face, she's having the time of her life on just a simple swing, three year olds really know how to enjoy the small things in life don't they? The last two pictures are of her on a teeter totter, another one of life's simple pleasures!

Three (Little) Men and a Little Lady!

This past weekend I had the chance to take pictures of four beautiful children! This family already had three very handsome sons and recently welcomed a baby girl into the mix! All four children were great to shoot and we got some really beautiful pictures, I am so pleased! Here are just a few of the gorgeous shots we got that day:

She's just Tutu cute!

This little sweetheart was so fun to shoot! With gorgeous red hair and bright blue eyes, I knew her pictures would be beautiful! I just love this shot, babies just don't love the tutu, no matter how cute they look in it, they just don't care ;) But, the truth is, crying or not, she still looks adorable!

Oh Baby!

A few days ago I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful baby boy, just four weeks old! He was a delight and the resulting pictures were adorable, all thanks to him and his sweetness! His big sister also allowed me to snap a few beautiful shots of her in all her three year old glory, just beautiful! I couldn't be more pleased with these shots!

I think this one is my all time favorite!

A Monumental Moment!

Today my son had his very first official hair cut! He did so well and it was a lot of fun! We took a lot of pictures while he was getting the actual cut, and they styled his hair into a fun little "Faux-hawk" and sprayed it blue! ADORABLE! Of course, before rinsing it out when we got home, I needed to set him up for some official portraits of his new 'do to capture the moment, I think they are great so I needed to share! A sweater vest and blue mow-hawk, talk about a juxtaposition eh?

The "R" Family!

I had the great pleasure yesterday of taking pictures of the "R" family's four children. Two handsome boys and two lovely girls, it was a photography dream come true! I got to put both my tutu's to good use and both boys were so photogenic and cooperative, I just love the resulting pictures and I hope their parent's do too!

Just look at these gorgeous blue eyes! Blue eyed babies take such amazing pictures!

The more pictures of children I take, the more I learn that I don't really have an age preference, each age group has its perks that makes them fun to shoot, from the wee baby to the young adult, they're all quite interesting and fun to work with!
